The best summer of my life!

Hello,
When I tell you this time about the best summer of my life, you can already guess what I mean. This time, for once, the focus is not on my sporting stories, because something particularly beautiful happened this summer: We got married! 😊😊

I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about it earlier, but Marisa and I wanted to make the wedding as private as possible and celebrate in a small circle with our families and closest friends. It was one of the – maybe the – most beautiful day of my life and I am happy every day that Marisa and I took this step.

In any case, I would like to thank you for all the congratulations, we were really happy and touched in our souls that so many positive thoughts and congratulations reached us.
After the ceremony we flew to Greece for a little honeymoon and spent our first holiday as husband and wife. 😊 It was wonderful!

But of course I have also been training hard in the last few weeks and preparing myself intensively for the coming World Cup winter. It starts a bit earlier this year, at the beginning of November in Wisla/Poland.

Until then, there are still some Summer Grand Prix jumping competitions to come – in Courchevel I was able to jump onto the podium – and of course I am looking forward to the Austrian Championships in Bischofshofen and Ramsau in mid-October.

I would also like to send a special greeting to Dominik Thiem. I was allowed to meet him again at the tennis tournament in Kitzbühel and spend some time with him. I am extremely impressed how he fought his way back to the top after his serious injury and is a great role model not only on the tennis court but also as a person.
